Chicago's Navy Pier Tall Ships Festival

If you haven't heard yet, the Tall Ships are coming back to Chicago! August 24-29, 2010. Starting with the parade of sail, Red Witch will sailing in the event. So join us as we sail WITH the other 20 vessels, and you can enjoy the parade from the best seat in Chicago! Casting off at 3pm of the 24th, we will head out to the parade starting point at 4pm. The parade should last about one hour, then we will double back so we can see the rest of the fleet sail past!!! Don't miss this chance. Purchase your tickets today. A great choice: Every Wednesday and Saturday evenings throughout the summer you can enjoy the sun setting over Chicago with its unforgettable night skyline while sailing aboard a Tall Ship, finishing off the cruise with a great show of fireworks near Navy Pier.

Although no whale sightings have yet been confirmed on Lake Michigan, we are bound and determined to keep looking... Two beers or glasses of Wine are included in your ticket price, so this may help your whale sighting abilities and determination. Soft drinks and water are included in the ticket price of $50.00. This is a unique way for you and your friends to start a great weekend! We leave the dock at 5:30 and return at 7:30pm.

A second cruise may be scheduled from 8:30 until 10:30 if demand warrants it... if you have a small group, that may be just enough, just ask. Discounted tickets are available, 10% for groups of 8 or more. Beer and Wine are also available for purchase for $5.00.

Major Chicago Events

On July 24rd, 2010 - Red Witch is proud to be offering our "Veuve Clicquot View From the Water Cruise" - a specially priced spectator cruise! Light lunch and Veuve Clicquot Champagne included. On this tour to watch the start of the 102nd annual Chicago to Macinac (Mac) yacht race, you will have the best location to view the start, aside from the competitors.

We have scheduled one sailing, for viewing the some of the starts in this historic sailing event. This 3 hour tour starts at 10am in Burnham Harbor, we will then proceed directly to the starting area, to watch a few of the classes start their race to Mackinac. We will be offering you explanations of racing tactics and strategy from our experienced crew, and then returning to the dock at 2 pm.

We are also are offering complimentary non-alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to BYOB. We welcome singles, couples or groups. We have a limited the tickets to 42 this event. Come join us for to watch the best yachting event of the year! Tickets: $85 adults, $55 children under 12.

August 14-15,2010 - This is one of the premier events to be on the water for a Chicago event. Take you group our with us for a day that they won't soon forget... and not just another Cubs game...

These are all day events, not a couple of hour tour! Take your group out with us for a great day on the water at "show center" at anchor (very loud, but very cool!), or sailing as the planes roar overhead!

We hold these dates for private charters with a 6 hour minimum, until July 1st, then we offer a ticketed sail for individuals and small groups. The sail will generally be from 1130am - 530pm. If you charter the ship, you can start earlier for no extra charge!

Tickets will be $85 for Adults and $55 for kids under 12. Book soon as we expect to sell out again!
